The ABLE Act Makes Headlines

The Arc of Philadelphia, in collaboration with Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, hosted Senator Robert P. Casey on, Thursday, April 17th at Temple University, 1810 Liacouras Walk President’s Conference Suite.

He came to promote the ABLE Act. Senator Casey is the prime sponsor of this bill which gives individuals with disabilities and their families access to accounts that would allow individual choice and control while protecting eligibility for Medicaid, SSI, and other important federal benefits for people with disabilities. These accounts are much like the Section 529 education accounts which allow families to save money for college tuition.
