Share Your COVID-19 Health Story

Your voice is needed to help us understand barriers and inequities that people with disabilities in our communities have experienced through the pandemic.

The Arc of Pennsylvania, in collaboration with The Arc of Philadelphia and other regional chapters around the state of Pennsylvania, is conducting a “Listening Tour” to collect stories, lived experiences, and comments about health issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This initiative includes a statewide leadership Task Force and Regional Community Work Groups throughout the Commonwealth who will contribute to the following purposes:

To bring together disability stakeholders and healthcare provider stakeholders to identify the COVID-19 barriers and disparities in the disability community, especially those from populations that are often marginalized, including racial and ethnic minority groups and people living in rural communities.

To develop an accessible media campaign to educate the disability community on mitigation efforts on COVID-19.

To inform The Arc of Pennsylvania's report to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Findings and Recommendations: COVID-19 Health Disparities Among the Disability Community, including a Health Equity Plan.

If you are a person with a disability and would like to share your experience, please consider joining us on one of our Listening Tours.

We are offering different sessions on Zoom to connect with you and collect your stories.
