Departments:

Vocational Training - The Training Center duplicates a workplace environment, preparing participants for off-site employment. The DSP's in the Vocational Training program provide direct support to program participants both in the COMMUNITY and in an employment based setting.

Hours: 29 per week- DAY SHIFT Mon-Fri, PT (9:30 AM to 3:30 PM) -No nights or weekends
Licensed driver's required.

Cultural Arts -The goal of the Cultural Arts Center is to bring a love and understanding of the arts to people with disabilities while connecting them with the world outside our studio. The DSP's in the Cultural Arts Program provide direct support to program participants both in the studio and in the COMMUNITY. Licensed driver's preferred but not required.

Home & Community - The Home and Community program allows program participants to achieve a more independent quality of life by providing access to their community in an exciting new way. Services provided include Respite, Companion, Habilitation, and COMMUNITY Inclusion. The DSP's in Home & Community provide direct support by accompanying one individual to the destination/activity of their choice. Going to social events, taking public transportation and learning new social skills are ways the DSP assist program participants make connections with the wider COMMUNITY.

The hours of this position vary and are based on the request of program participants. This position is great for candidates that are available to work in the evenings or on the weekends. If your availability changes due to other obligations such as other employment, school etc. you are encouraged to apply for this department.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Safely transporting and accompanying participants on community outings to cultural venues
• Actively engaging participants in the program's art and educational classes and activities
• Provide support including but not limited to feeding, bathroom support and general personal support.
• Maintain and document progress notes.
• Encourage and motivate participants to fully engage in new experiences and accomplish personal goals.

Job Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Clear criminal record, child abuse history, medical & drug screen.
• Valid driver's license a plus.
• Flexible Schedule
